That’s right! Exciting things are happening here at DENOR, and we are so proud to announce that our Founder and Director, Ashley Northington, has been chosen to be a board member for the Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce.
When we say we do it all at DENOR, we mean it!
“We are elated to welcome these new board members and the energy they will all bring to the chamber and its various initiatives,” said Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce President Carolyn Waller. “Each new board member has a unique perspective, and we could not be more excited about the potential of their collective impact on our organization and our membership.”
In February, there were a total of nine new board members announced, including Ashley. The other insightful individuals included Issac Addae, Stephanie Hale, Bill McCleskey, Joshua Mundy, Steven Pelmore, Robert Ray, Jr., Emmanuel Reed, and Marcus Whitney.
The board’s main purpose is to provide strategic vision and leadership for carrying out the chamber’s mission to economically empower the Black community through the promotion, education, and advancement of its businesses and their partners, all the while focusing on the development of business opportunities, alliances, and legislative advocacy in the Nashville community.
Ashley says, “I am super excited to join the board of directors for the Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce as its policy and governmental relations chair… I am delighted to be among so many individuals who care about the growth and development of entrepreneurs. As part of the collective, I’ll do my best to ensure more African American-owned businesses are positioned to thrive in a global marketplace.”
The entire DENOR team is extremely proud of all the work that Ashley is doing as she continues to be a change agent in the community. Nice job, Ashley!
