BATON ROUGE – Crooner Kem will perform in Baton Rouge on Friday as part of the SOUL REFINED Concert Series. The show, which starts at 8 p.m. at the Lyceum Ballroom, will highlight the soulful singer Kem, and will also feature popular radio diva LaTangela Fay as well as John Gray and the SOUL Jukeboxx.
The work of singer-songwriter-producer KEM spans multiple genres, namely R&B, soul, jazz and neo-soul, which has brought the singer thousands of fans who line up to see him perform. His all-time favorites, “I Can’t Stop Loving You,” “Love Calls” and “Share My Life,” as well as newer tunes like, “If It’s Love,” are sure to please Capitol City concert-goers. The Nashville, Tenn. native and Universal Motown Records recording artist released has released three albums: Kemistry in 2002, Kem Album II in 2005 and Intimacy in 2010. Collectively, these albums have sold scores of copies nationwide and have garnered the artist accolades and respect.
Fay, who can be heard daily as an on-air personality as part of a radio morning show in Baton Rouge, will sing original songs, “Inner Thoughts” from her 2005 album, U Got Me and the popular “I Miss You” which was released this year. Acclaimed trumpeter, Gray, along with the SOUL Jukeboxx, will mellow the audience with their harmonies and jazz tunes.
