It’s time to get back to basics.

I mean waaay back. Like elementary school.

Remember show and tell?

Did you or someone you know ever have to stand up in class among your/their peers to tell the group everything there was to know about a person, place or thing?4

Yep. You have to do that in business, too. You’ll have to stand up in the marketplace among your peers and tell your audience everything there is to know about you and your business, and most importantly how your business can help your audience.

But you can’t stop there. You can’t just stand up once and state your claims as you (or, you know, your friend) did in class. You will have to define your brand, develop your story, and share it with your audience – repeatedly.

You’ll have to show and tell in a BIG way.

You’ll have to show and tell on your web site, social media, marketing materials, in person, sales calls, thank you notes, direct-mail campaigns … you get the picture.

In all of your messaging – sales pitch, networking, web site, marketing materials, social media messages – tell your target audience exactly how your gift will help them.

I want to know: how will you be showing and telling your target audience about your products and services? Let me know in my Facebook group, #LiveYourBrand.
