BATON ROUGE — Songstress Chrisette Michele will headline the LOVE SOUL concert on Thursday, Feb. 17 as part of the SOUL REFINED Concert Series. Also set to take center stage is crooner Eric Roberson. LOVE SOUL, hosted by popular radio personality LaTangela Fay, will feature both singers, as well as a special guest performance. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the Lyceum Ballroom, located at 124 Third Street in Baton Rouge.

SOUL REFINED, which is committed to entertaining the masses through concerts and other events, initially began showcasing top-notch talent in Baton Rouge in 2008. The LOVE SOUL concert featuring Chrisette Michele and Eric Roberson is a milestone for the brand as a Chrisette Michele concert held in January 2009 ignited a series of concerts and comedy shows throughout 2010 and continuing in 2011.

Fans came to love Chrisette Michele through her wildly popular debut album, I Am, and her sophomore album, Epiphany. Her latest effort, released in November, is also proven to be a success. Let Freedom Reign debuted at No. 25 on the US Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 42,000 units. The album also entered at No. 7 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and at No. 12 on its Digital Albums chart. The Grammy award-winning CHRISETTE MICHELE will perform new tunes such as “I’m a Star” and “Goodbye Game,” in addition to older favorites “Be OK,” “Epiphany” and “Love is You.”

The versatile Roberson, who got his start in the entertainment business in musical theater, has garnered a reputation as a singer, songwriter and producer. His talent has afforded him the opportunity to work with other soul artists, such as Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, Vivian Green, Dwele and Will Downing. The two-time Grammy nominated artists’ discography spans nearly 10 years and encompasses seven albums, including his debut album, The Esoteric Movement and his latest, Music Fan First.
