Award-winning Philadelphia Wedding Expert Makes History on Food Network’s American Diner Revival

Philadelphia entrepreneur and wedding expert Tiffany Gillespie is featured on the Food Network’s popular series, American Diner Revival. Gillespie worked with local vendors to plan a wedding for distressed diner owners during the show. The surprise wedding is the first to ever air in conjunction with a renovated diner reveal.

PHILADELPHIA (February 3, 2016) – The owners of Linda Kay’s Ole’ Green Ridge Diner in Scranton got more than they bargained for when they signed their restaurant up to be featured on the Food Network’s popular series, American Diner Revival. Desperately in need of hosts Ty Pennington and Amanda Freitag to come work their magic, James and Linda Lovelace were in for the surprise of their lives when the hosts called in Philadelphia wedding expert and entrepreneur Tiffany Gillespie to plan the wedding of the couple’s dreams.

Gillespie worked magic of her own. In less than 48 hours, the owner of To the “T” Events pulled together local vendors to stage the wedding the couple had been waiting years to host. The result is history in the making: the surprise ceremony is the show’s first ever wedding.

Gillespie’s work will be featured on the episode that airs at 8:30 p.m. EST on Friday, February 12 on the Food Network. While the show will highlight the owner, the love of her life, and the restaurant makeover, the two will also be met with a breathtaking wedding ceremony, and everyone is invited to watch.

“This was a big project to undertake in such a short period of time,” Gillespie said, who is a family friend of the groom. “I learned so much during the taping, and it was an honor to put together this wedding for such a lovely couple. As an entrepreneur, I understand the sacrifices that must be made in order to support and sustain a successful business. Putting together this particular wedding made my heart smile because I knew it would mean so much for James and Linda.”

Gillespie is no stranger to media.

She and her work have also been featured on Clear Channel Radio, Brides Magazine, About.com, National Federation of Independent Business Magazine and Fox 29 Philadelphia’s Don’t Save the Date wedding trend segment.

Though it may have taken Food Network 203 episodes of American Diner Revival to encounter the businesswoman, Gillespie has made her mark in the event industry in a meaningful way. With the airing of the upcoming episode, her hard work will be displayed on an even greater platform.

“This was a dream come true,” Gillespie said. “When the call you have been dreaming about finally comes, will you be ready? I am certainly glad I was.”
