Hardhead King Duke choses DENOR for representation

By September 9, 2012 No Comments

The Sardis, Miss. native known as Hardhead King Duke is the latest artist to choose DENOR for public relations representation. King Duke, whose legal name is Derrell Wilborn, joins a talented roster of entertainment clients represented by the boutique firm.

In 2008, Duke recorded his first album Welcome 2 Looxahoma. Motivated by local rapper, Soulja Boy Tell Em’ who lived in Batesville, MS and had the No. 1 song on the Billboard Charts in 2007, Duke was able to promote his own album by passing out demos and performing at local venues.

In 2010, DJ Devin Steel, a radio personality and disk jockey for K 97 FM, an urban radio station in Memphis, contacted the rapper to ask him to submit a record to the station’s unsigned artist program in an effort to get radio play. King Duke obliged and was accepted. His songs, “Gutta Chick” and “Recession” can be heard in the Memphis metropolitan area and beyond.

Currently, King Duke is recording a new song, “Zombie” and is recording the album Zombie 2. He is also recording his new mixtapeHEARTLESS, will be released soon.
