New Orleans native Jay B. August has decided to choose DENOR as his publicity representative. The soulful hip-hop artist is among the latest slew of musicians to select DENOR for their public relations needs.
As an independent artist, Jay has recorded several songs and albums. The 23-year-old rapper released his mix tape Silence Before the Storm in 2009 and Red Dime in 2011, among several other projects.
The rapper has achieved a following in south Louisiana. Most notably, he has performed on the Budweiser Sound Stage during the 2011 Essence Music Festival and opened for the BET Music Matters Tour featuring Marsha Ambrosius and Melanie Fiona during its Baton Rouge, La. stop.
His singles, “Red Dime” and “Now or Never” are being played in venues in south Louisiana. Currently Jay B. August is booking shows and working on an upcoming album to be released at the beginning of 2012.
