Local businesses partner with nonprofit to help youth

DENOR Brands and Public Relations, along with several other Baton Rouge businesses, has partnered with the Center of Empowerment for Families and Youth to host a fundraiser to in effort to prevent child abuse.

The Center of Empowerment for Families and Youth is dedicated to providing educational, counseling services, health & wellness along with mentoring services to victims of child abuse and other underserved populations considered low income or at-risk families. The center is focused on improving the lives of children and families within our community.

The President and other state and local officials declare the month of April National Child Abuse Prevention Month each year. In this month’s honor, the center hopes to unite with about 100 individuals, families, organizations, businesses, and other groups from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Baton Rouge Gallery. The event will feature entertainment, food, drinks and more.
