BATON ROUGE – World-renowned hair artist and businessman Floyd Kenyatta will make a stop in the Capitol City as part of his Vanilla Box Tour. A Paul Mitchell Global Ambassador for 21 years, Kenyatta will give pointers on the business of tresses, as well as hair-cutting tips – an area of specialty for which he is known. Happy Hair Salon sponsors the Baton Rouge stop of the Vanilla Box Tour, which will be held on Monday, March 26.
Targeting future stylists, current hair designers, and those interested in opening a salon, The Vanilla Box Tour will present two seminars at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Happy Hair Salon, located at 4415 S. Sherwood Forest Boulevard, Ste. A. in Baton Rouge. Other seminars may be held, depending on the interest. The event is free and open to the public. With over 30 years of experience, Kenyatta is an innovator in the hair industry. He has studied multicultural hair in Europe, is an inductee to the Wilford Beauty Academy Hall of Fame, and is the founder of the Black Hair Olympics. Additionally, he has opened, partnered and financed over 100 salons across the world. He is the only black hair stylist in the past 25 years to represent the United States in the Alternative Hair Show. An entrepreneur at heart, Kenyatta also sells high-quality equipment, furniture, fashions, and fixtures to salon owners and the public.
