The Task: To secure press for the October 2013 release of Bet on Black: African American Women Celebrate Fatherhood in the Age of Barack Obama.
The Result: The book has been featured in several local publications. It has also received its fair share of national media attention, being featured in outlets such as Ebony, Essence, Uptown, Huffington Post, HuffPost Live, The Root and on the “Ties Never Broken” radio show, hosted by Kenneth Braswell, who leads the President’s initiative. The book has also been featured as an AARP Book Club “Book of the Month” and as a New York Times online forum discussion topic.
