To commemorate the 100-day countdown to the London 2012 Olympic Games, Proctor & Gamble launched in April, its global P&G Thank You Mom campaign.

The campaign, which runs through the end of the Olympics, is the largest in P&G’s 175-year history and is showcased through a variety if media channels and in-store retailers. As a part of the P&G Thank You Mom promotion, P&G said it would raise $5 million to support local youth sports programs in many countries, through a portion of sales and donations from the company’s leadership brands including Pampers®, Tide®, Gillette® and Pantene®.

Proctor & Gamble brands reach billions of consumers around the world. From beauty products to home staples, the company’s latest effort has been a hit on the web, at the Olympics and social media.

Because a majority of P&G products target women and mothers, it seems only natural for the company to celebrate mothers. And with this heightened awareness of P&G and its products, we’re certain moms will show their appreciation to P&G too … with their checkbooks.
